abstract In ethics, there are four mystical approaches, transferative, integrated, and scientific approaches. The scientific approach has established ethics based on the thought of the Greek philosophers, Plato and Aristotle, and Islamic sages and scholars of ethics, influenced by the thoughts of the Greeks, have started writing ethical books.The present research answers the question, how effective is scientific and philosophical ethics in self-enlightenment? From the point of view of Imam Khomeini, he came to the conclusion with descriptive and analytical method and library research tools that Imam Khomeini (RA) while explaining this type of ethics, finally did not consider philosophical and scientific ethics alone to be effective in refining the self and the moral books that They are written in a scientific and philosophical way, he considers them as prescriptions, not medicine and for treatmentRouhani considers diseases to play a fundamental role in adhering to the traditions of the Ahl al-Bayt, and he assigns an irreplaceable role to admonitions and moral sermons. For this purpose, he has written the moral book "Explanation of Forty Hadiths" and the book "Explanation of Junod Aql Vajhli" with a unified approach and attention to hadiths and sermons.
